Every month, The Sequel Machine recruits 25 writers to write the sequels for film’s biggest franchises one page at a time. The catch is, the writers only get to read the page before theirs in a round-robin, exquisite corpse style. The end result is a hilarious, twisted, and as coherent as any misquided Hollywood sequel. This month: 9thmare on Elm Street.

It’s a Halloween miracle!

This one is definitely my favorite of our Sequel Machine shows so far. Turns out if you ask 25 comedy writers to work on a script about a murderer that kills you in your sleep, a lot of weird things come out. The way it moves and changes is like some sort of VHS dream ballet.

These are always my favorite part of interning at Beast on Thursday nights. Please never move to another day.
